It's been quite a long while since I've written anything here on my deviantART blog. In part, that was because I've been hard at work on a new Chadhiyana project (my new fantasy heroine), and wanted to wait until I revealed news about it officially on my website before I posted anything about it here. The other half to that is, unfortunately, for as long as I've been a deviantART member, this one site still provides me with the least traffic and exposure (hence why I let my Premium Membership expire). That said, I have not abandoned deviantART, however, my activity here has lessened somewhat and may continue to be so as I work on Chadhiyana. Still, as I've finally revealed information about that project, and as there are a number of other things worth noting, I thought I'd finally write a new update.
First and foremost, I added a blog to my website some months back (jmdesantis.com). From now on, that is the best place to get regular updates about my work, appearances, publications, etc, etc, etc. I will still, of course, update this page, from time to time, but not as regularly as my website. After all, how many of these things can I keep going simultaneously? And I still wish for jmdesantis.com to be the home of my presence on the web.
Secondly, I will be appearing at the Boston Comic Con for the first time this year (Saturday and Sunday, April 20 - 21) as well as making a return to the Bronx Heroes Comic Convention on May 4th and 5th. So if you're planning to attend either convention, please drop by my table. As always, up-to-date information on my convention and public appearances will be listed on the new Events & Shows page on my website.
Finally, as I stated above, I'm working on a new Chadhiyana project: a graphic novel. I'm still in the process of writing the script. You can get a bit more information by reading my recent post about it on my website: here. A print version of the first Chadhiyana comic is still available on IndyPlanet.com, if you don't own a copy already (click here to order). I'm also currently looking into a number of websites to offer the comic for sale for digital download.
That's all for now. I'll have even more happening in the future; that I promise. And again, the best way to keep up is trough my website: jmdesantis.com

Thank You for Your Support!
We did it! Yesterday evening, Rosarium Publishing (the publisher for my comic, Chadhiyana) reached the goal for their IndieGoGo campaign, the funds of which are, in part, going toward print runs for a number of upcoming books, including the first Chadhiyana trade!
So, thank you all who have contributed to the campaign. I look forward to bringing you the first Chadhiyana graphic novel, and many more in the future. As a show of thanks, I put this special illustration together today (at the indirect suggestion of one of my fellow Rosarians). It’s likely one of the only times you’ll see Chadhiyana looking this serene.

The Final Days of Chadhiyana and Rosarium
This is a final reminder that the Rosarium Publishing IndieGoGo campaign (publisher of my comic, Chadhiyana) ends during the day on Wednesday, May 4th: http://bit.ly/rosariumpub. Thus, this is also your final chance to pre-order Chadhiyana volume 1 (collecting issues 1 - 6) and get the exclusive 8-page mini comic that comes with it (see my blog post last week on http://jmdesantis.com for more information on the comic).
Chadhiyana has consistently been one of the top-claimed perks since the beginning of the campaign, and honestly, I’d love for as many people to read that exclusive comic as possible. So, if you haven’t contribu
10 Days Remain for Chadhiyana Rosarium
In just 10 short days, the Rosarium Publishing IndieGoGo campaign will come to a close, and so will your chance to get the exclusive Chadhiyana mini-comic that comes with pre-orders of Chadhiyana volume 1 (my first graphic novel, due out in January 2017)!
For those of you not in the know about Chadhiyana or Rosarium (the latter of which was trending on Twitter a few times last week), Chadhiyana is, in short, a fantasy series about a female assassin’s personal struggle to deal a dark past she’s trying to run from. It takes place in a world based on medieval India. As for Rosarium Publishing, they are dedicated to true diversity i
Chadhiyanas Publisher Needs Your Help!
Early this morning, Rosarium Publishing, the publisher for Chadhiyana (my medieval Indian assassin comic) and many other diverse books, launched its first major crowdfunding campaign. Appropriately named Rosarium Publishing: The Next Level (http://indiegogo.com/projects/rosarium-publishing-the-next-level) through the campaign, Rosarium Publishing is hoping to move out of the print-on-demand market and into a position to make small print runs of their books (Chadhiyana included). Not only that, but they’re also hoping to invest more money into marketing and promotion (which Rosarium as a whole has already done a pretty effective job at t
